    Forming the OKU Residents’ Committee

Following our meeting with REBO and Achmea Real Estate last week, we want to form a Residents’ Committee. That way we can tackle any building maintenance, safety and cleanliness concerns jointly.

As a Residents’ Committee, we will have additional legal rights under the Tenants/Landlord Consultation Act. This includes having regular meetings with the landlords, receiving information about rent increases and service costs upfront, and the right of advice on any future plans.

Besides this important representational role, we think it would be good to organize the occasional social event, like the borrel Olya and Maria organized late last year.

We can’t do it alone! If you want to help us form this commitee, please reach out at info@okuresidents.nl. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in the comments!

First meeting with REBO and Achmea Real Estate

Last monday, a group of tenants from both buildings met with REBO and Achmea Real Estate to discuss all long standing issues. We did a walkthrough of the buildings and the surrounding area to discuss the issues, including but not limited to:

🪣 Ongoing leak in the bike parking and holes in the hallways of the East building

🚪 100+ day broken front door in the West building

🚒 General safety and accessibility of the buildings

We’re happy to report that the path on the side of the West building is now open! Our meeting went well, and both Achmea and REBO showed their clear intent to solve the issues. They are now working together to address them. We will meet again in two weeks to discuss progress, and continue to have regular meetings with them thereafter. We will have more to share soon.

If you have questions about specific issues, please reach out via info@okuresidents.nl. For issues specific to your apartment, please keep reporting them to REBO directly via tdvgm@rebogroep.nl, and include your house number and postal code.
